The Bruce C. Bigelow Memorial Endowment Fund was established by Case Lombardi & Pettit to honor our late colleague and friend. Administered through the University of Hawaii Foundation, the purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to assist students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa,William S. Richardson School of Law. Beginning with the 2002-2003 academic year, the Bruce C. Bigelow Memorial Award will benefit law students who indicate an interest in practicing in one or more of the following areas: bankruptcy, banking or commercial law.
Bruce Crawford Bigelow was born in Celina, Ohio on March 26, 1946. He attended undergraduate school at Cornell University and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in 1968. He attended Yale Law School and graduated with his juris doctorate in 1972. After law school he clerked with the Honorable Samuel P. King of the United States District Court of Hawaii. Following his clerkship with Judge King, he joined our firm, becoming a partner in 1979 and a name partner in 1995.

He was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers In America in the area of bankruptcy law.
