Mr. Cribley represents operating businesses with respect to a wide range of business issues. His clientele includes domestic as well as foreign owners of business and properties.
Among his clients are architects, a bioenergy consortium, a rendering plant operator, specialty contractors, rent-a-car companies, an international data entry company, a cemetery, and various distribution and retail operators.
He has represented various clients in acquisitions and sales of businesses, including complex hotel purchases and sales, an old-line sugar plantation, an island wide electricity producer, an inter-island tug and barge company, a vacation condominium manager, a macadamia nut factory, a plumbing supply distributor, and various restaurants and retail store operators.
Mr. Cribley is counsel to a continuing care retirement community and has acted in all phases of the development of its project, including obtaining a Certificate of Need, pre-construction financing and tax-free bond authorization.
He has been serving as Honorary Consul for Sweden in Hawaii since 1988 and was awarded the Royal Order of the Polar Star by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden.
Mr. Cribley is the co-author of the “Doing Business in Hawaii” section of the Doing Business in…Handbook published by the Practical Law Company (PLC) in association with Lex Mundi.
